I found out that US West was using this tool to keep track of driving distance between central offices. The funny part is that this tool will give you the line of sight distance based on V & H coordinates, not the number of miles it takes to drive between COs. :-) Unless you drive a very large off-road vehicle and can drive over anything in your path, this tool will not give you the actual driving distance, but it may be close.
