ReplayTV is a very cool box, it is “the first and only networked DVR with broadband connectivity that lets you record up to to 320 hours of television, playback recorded shows without commercials, store and view digital photos on your TV, and even share programs with a friend.” If you have multiple networked ReplayTV units in your home you can watch recorded programs sotred on either unit, is this functionality that has lead me to start a ReplayTV hacking site. I would like to build a FreeBSD or Linux box that acts like a large video server that could be accessed by all the ReplayTV units in my home.
